Book a hotel or holiday flat directly at the local tourist office

To access the booking system, please click on "Bookings" on top of every page or browse first a destination and click there on accommodation. After you selected a destination, the booking system's loading.

Step 1: Choose your settings and click on the search-button to search for available hotels. You can also click on "List Hotels" to see all hotels in the selected area. Step 2: Click on the small "i"-button to get detailed information about the hotel or click on "bookable" to book the room directly. Step 3: Now choose a room by clicking on the "bookable" button on the left of the room-description Step 4: You can now change your settings if necessary. Click on the "continue"-button to check the room-availability. Step 5: Confirm your settings by clicking on the "book"-button. Step 6: Confirm your booking by clicking on the "confirm booking"-button. Step 7: Now you must fill out the forms. Click on the "enter"-button and your booking is done. You receive a confirmation which you can print out.

Flight bookings

Click on "Bookings" on the top of this webpage, then choose "Book a Flight". -> The flight booking system is loading now.

Step 1: Use the forms to select you preferences, then click on the button "Show Best Price Options" Step 2: A list of available flights is loading, choose one of these flights by clicking on the button "Select Option x" Step 3: The swissvisit Secure Air Reservation window opens now. Go through this page and click on "Submit Reservation" to finish your reservation.

Please note: International travel may require the need for valid travel documents such as: passport, visa, re-entry permit, health certificate, inoculation record, a ticket for the return journey or continuance of your trip, or ANY combination thereof. The responsibility for the proper documentation rests with the individual passengers, not swissvisit. Concerns about the required travel documents may be resolved by contacting the appropriate consulate or embassy. International travel requires bookings 14 days or more an advance. swissvisit will not allow International bookings less than two weeks from departure date. Paper Ticket Handling: Some airline bookings uses paper ticketing (electronic will not be available). A $25 shipping and handling fee will be charged to process your ticket. This includes second-day delivery. P.O. boxes are not allowed for delivery. The ticket will be delivered to the address you provide in the reservation forms.

Car Reservation

Click on "Bookings" on the top of this webpage, then choose "Rent a Car". -> The Car reservation system is loading now.

Step 1: Select you preferences and click on "Search for Cars" Step 2: Choose a car from the result-page by clicking on the button "BOOK IT" Step 3: Receiving rules associated with this car rental, please read them carefully and when ready to make a reservation please click the link "I accept...". Please do not interrupt this process, expect a delay of up to 30 seconds. Step 4: The swissvisit Secure Car Reservation window is loading now. Go through this page and click on "Submit Reservation" to finish your reservation.

Please note: Rates will depend on availability, size and type of car. You can select a particular type of car to narrow your search. You will be expected to pay for any gas, insurance, taxes, or extra equipment. If your reservation is for more than 5 days, a weekly rate will be quoted.

European Rail Passes

Click on "Bookings" on the top of this webpage, then choose "European Rail Pass". -> The Rail Passes booking system is loading now.

Step 1: Rail passes are perfect for any European vacation or business trip. You can choose now from Eurail, BritRail, and Europasses. Step 2: Select your preferences and click on "Add to Cart" Step 3: An Overview of the booked passes is loading. Click on "Book Passes" to go to the next step or add some other options to your cart. Step 4: The swissvisit Secure Rail Pass Reservation window is loading now. Go through this page and click on "continue" to finish your reservation.

Please note: swissvisit can only sell and issue rail passes to customers who reside in the United States.

Book a hotel (worldwide)

Click on "Bookings" on the top of this webpage, then choose "Hotels worldwide". -> The Hotel booking system is loading now.

Step 1: Select you preferences and click on "Browse All Hotels" or on "Search Available Hotels". You'll find many Hotels in Switzerland, too. Step 2: On the left side, a list of hotels is loading. Choose one of these hotels by clicking on the hotels name. Step 3: Click on "Click Here For Prices and Availability" to continue. Step 4: You can see now the prices of the available rooms. Choose one of these rooms by clicking on "book it" Step 5: The swissvisit Secure Hotel Reservation window is loading now. Go through this page and click on "Submit Reservation" to finish your reservation.

Please note: All requests going through the "Auto Booker" will be responded to, on your screen, within seconds of your request. All "Live Agent" requests arriving between 9 am and 9 pm will be responded to within a few hours. After 9 pm on Monday-Friday, and after 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, requests will be responded to on the next business day. All times are Central Standard Time, -06:00 Greenwich Mean Time. Some hotels do not confirm reservations immediately (most foreign and some domestic). In this case, you will receive a letter from us without a confirmation number. Your reservation IS NOT confirmed until you receive a confirmation number from us. When we receive the confirmation number, it will be forwarded to you.
